Only in Caleeforneea

I'm not much of a Tom Leykis fan, but today he said something in response to a listener who said that 90 percent of people in the United States believe in a higher power. Leykis responded, "Ninety percent of people in the United States eat at the Olive Garden but it doesn't mean they have good food."

That's how I feel about Arnold Schwarzenegger being elected as governor of California.

Reading that statistic reminds me of that joke -- 77.48% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

I held on to the hope that people would use common sense in that election till the very last possible second. I so wanted to believe that they wouldn't vote for someone merely because they've seen him vanquish bad guys on 20 foot screens, but oh well, just goes to show that you can't underestimate the power of name recognition.

Kelly - Don't even say that!! the only thing that gets me out of bed some mornings is the realization that his gig is almost up. Please dont' take that away from me, at least not yet. ;-)
