Late night with xanax

My recent insomnia has its benefits - more Conan O'Brien.

While laying in bed like a vegetable, I happened to switch channels to Leno and caught Jewel performing. My first thought was, Wow, Christina Aguilara looks different. Jewel was wearing a see-through crocheted micro-mini with Carrie Bradshaw 6 inch pumps, lots of makeup and Pamela Anderson hair. Her song sucked- some commercial pop shit.

I've never been much of a Jewel fan but always thought of her as this yodeling chick from Alaska. After her first album, which wasn't too bad, she kind of went Christian rock. Now she's gone Ho. I hate ho.

Luckily, there's Conan. Even if the guest sucks, Conan is guaranteed for some good laughs.

I was disappointed when I saw that Jewel had decided to succomb to the "let's-all-be-a-ho" mentality just to sell more albums. To be fair, I haven't heard any more of her songs other than the one they play on the radio (probably the same one she sang on Leno last night) but if she's going to revamp her image to fit in more with the teeny-bopper set, then no thanks.

I saw Jewel live last year and she was really, really good. But I hate her new song. Mabey she's doing it to make fun of other artists but that doesn't mean she has to make boring music.

I actually think the song's pretty good..and even if the music isn't that good, the lyrics are cool.

I think it's entirely f*cked up what Jewel is doing! Her first album was all about independence and not letting the pop world take over. Sell out! Sell out! Sell out! I really loved Jewel- I held her almost as high as Tori Amos and Bjork. What the hell?
